as with all good things, it starts with bacon. mmmm, bacon.

ok, there are potatoes. cleaned and boiled. as well as some heavy cream, sour cream and a little flour. boring. salt and pepper, less boring.

back to bacon, and his best friend garlic.

mmm. car-a-mel-i-zation.

veggies, chopped up. here is an onion, couple small leeks, a red pepper, and a few carrots. and some celery. throw those in.

it'll clean up nicely.

but needs a minute to steam

mix all that stuff up in a stock pot large enough to hold that much awesome. it's not rocket science. don't over think it. add some water.

this could sit on the stove, on low, for a while. a couple hours probably.
